We’re proud to announce that Diana Matos, an industrial engineer and customer service representative from Newcomb Spring of North Carolina, recently attended and presented at the 2025 Manufacturing Summit in the Dominican Republic. Invited by Eaton, a leader in the electrical industry, Diana showcased what sets Newcomb Spring apart.

She presented twice at the summit, highlighting Newcomb Spring’s capabilities, products, and locations. She also set up a booth to show off some of our products we’ve produced and to answer any questions she received.

Reflecting on her role, Diana shared, “It made me feel really good to take on such an important role to represent the company.” Her participation highlighted our company’s commitment to expanding more into the energy and electrical sectors.

The summit proved to be an excellent networking opportunity, enabling Diana to connect with potential partners and clients, including a group from her alma mater, INTEC. “It is exciting to explore the benefits of working together to support the success of each others’ businesses,” Diana noted. These new connections are crucial as we aim to broaden our reach and explore new opportunities.

A significant outcome of our participation was the substantial number of RFQs received, underscoring the interest and potential for future collaborations sparked at the summit.

During the event, Diana was approached by the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) and accepted an invitation to join their ranks. The SWE aims to “empower women to achieve their full potential in careers as engineers and leaders; expand the image of the engineering and technology professions as a positive force in improving the quality of life, and demonstrate the value of diversity and inclusion.”

Diana is enthusiastic about the future and the next summit, eager to bring even more knowledge and insights from her experience.

We are honored to have had Diana represent Newcomb Spring at the summit and excited about the new connections forged. Events like this are invaluable for developing our business and enhancing relationships with both new and existing customers.
